In the heart of Tuscany, the artistry of precious metalwork runs deep, tracing its roots to the Renaissance workshops. This mastery of crafts has endured through the ages, with illustrious artists such as Donatello and Michelangelo embarking on their artistic journeys as goldsmiths.
The Pacini family have been precious metal workers since 1978, and under the name PMP Firenze, they have carried a priceless tradition of artisans in Italy. Today, Andrea Pacini, at the helm of the company, has reinvented the heritage of Italian craftsmanship. With K-OVER, he has ventured into the world of luxury drinkware, creating innovative covers for wine bottles that extend beautifully to champagne bottles.
Our commitment to preserving and perpetuating this rich heritage is a testament to the enduring tradition of excellence in craftsmanship. At K-OVER, we draw inspiration from these timeless traditions, infusing them with innovation and contemporary creativity.
Art of Metalsmithing and Innovation
Our proficient goldsmiths have honed their mastery in the delicate craft of processing precious metals, as exemplified in every K-OVER creation. We relentlessly pursue manufacturing excellence, ensuring these precious metals not only maintain their intrinsic value but also ascend to become exquisite masterpieces of goldsmithing and silversmithing.
Andrea Pacini, together with lather master Massimo Capanni, envisioned a decorative wine cover that was both elegant and functional, leading to the birth of the K-OVER concept. After months of trial and error, they perfected the design of the bottle casings. These champagne and wine bottle covers not only treasure your bottle but also keep it fresh for up to two hours, thanks to their insulating interiors. The mechanism includes a monocoque adjustable bottom, allowing you to change the bottle by simply unscrewing it.
Numerous gifted artists and designers have contributed their talents to craft exceptional K-OVER collections, working hand in hand with our skilled goldsmiths and master silversmiths. Each K-OVER creation embodies a harmonious blend of artistry and cutting-edge technology, resulting in innovative production processes that culminate in uniquely crafted designs. These decorative wine covers inspire and captivate, sparking the imagination of individuals worldwide.
We have a long history of working with precious metals, seamlessly combining the
most modern, up-to-date machinery with classical techniques. The skill of
our operators is crucial in achieving the perfect result.
Once we have the right cylinder, our craftsmen employ hand-spinning techniques
to shape the metal into the desired wine bottle or champagne bottle cover. This
process requires exceptional precision and artistry, ensuring each K-OVER is both
functional and elegantly designed.
Many artists even create their own tools to achieve the desired effects, ensuring
each K-OVER is a unique masterpiece of silver craftsmanship.
Hand metal spinning
Chiseling and embossing
Cesello, or chiseling, is the most commonly used technique for creating silverware, including our K-OVERs. The challenge in our process arises from the cylindrical shape of the cover. When the artist begins to work, the cover is closed, and all volumes must be crafted from the inside. This ancient technique, known as “Caccia in fuori,” involves embossing. The artist attaches tools to a special spring, presses the spring, and moves the tools to shape the metal from the inside.
Chiseling can also be done from the exterior of the K-OVER. Given its cylindrical shape and hollow interior, the casings are filled with pitch to provide a solid surface for the artist to work on. We use high temperature to insert and remove the pitch, this process doesn’t damage the casings and allows the artist to create any design, whether inspired by original drawings or copied from photographs.
Enamelling
At K-OVER, we specialize in creating exquisite bottle covers using the most sophisticated enameling techniques and the finest artists. Our enamels are made from tiny particles that we apply either as a dry powder or a wet paste.
Enameling small, chiseled surfaces is a delicate process that requires a highly skilled hand, and our artists excel in this precision work. We are committed to quality and sustainability, using only the best colors for our products. At K-OVER, we take pride in delivering exceptional craftsmanship and unparalleled beauty in every bottle cover we create. Hand engraving
New Layer
K-OVER offers exquisite hand engraving for their covers, allowing clients to personalize with dates, names, or intricate designs. Utilizing the “bulino engraving” technique, which has its roots in Italy, each piece is crafted with a very sharp burin and free-hand drawing, requiring the utmost skill from the engraver.
Capable of replicating any design from photographs and drawings, K-OVER welcomes any challenge, ensuring each request is transformed into a stunning, bespoke work of art.
The design and production of each K-OVER are meticulously carried out in our factory, blending traditional and modern techniques. We source the highest quality, sustainable pure silver, gold, and bronze alloys for our expert craftsmen.
The process begins with melting solid blocks of silver, which are then laminated to the precise thickness needed for K-OVER sheets. This stage requires careful attention to ensure the perfect fit for the bottle, preventing damage and noise.
Creating the initial cylinder for the K-OVER wine cover was particularly challenging and took several months of study. This foundational design combines old-world craftsmanship with modern precision, resulting in a functional and elegant decorative wine cover.
Our commitment to excellence at every step ensures each K-OVER is both a protective casing and a masterpiece of goldsmithing and silversmithing.
Diamond surface
K-OVER offers a unique diamond effect, handcrafted by skilled metal artisans. Using a metal hammer, our silversmiths transform a polished surface into a rough texture that elegantly reflects light and resists fingerprints.
This exquisite finish was originally conceived to be applied to covers as a decorative element, but it stands out beautifully that it has become a decoration in itself. Part of K-OVER’s offerings, it allows clients to choose from a range of materials such as gold, silver, or bronze and surface finishes, including glossy, matte, and the stunning diamond effect.

Gold plating
K-OVER offers an exceptional gold plating service, providing an elegant and luxurious finish to their covers. While clients can choose covers made from pure gold, gold plating is an excellent alternative to achieve the same sophisticated effect. This process involves applying a thin layer of gold over the cover, whether it’s silver or bronze, from the start or as an enhancement to previously made covers.
With K-OVER’s gold plating, every cover is transformed into a stunning piece of luxury.
