Metalsmiths

Meet the Metalsmiths

At K-OVER, the essence of our craft lies in the meticulous artistry and rich heritage of metalworking, a tradition we have upheld for over 40 years under the PMP Firenze name. Founded by the Pacini family, our company has long been synonymous with excellence in precious metals. The visionary Andrea Pacini, inspired by our legacy, conceived an innovative idea to elevate the art of champagne and wine presentation. He envisioned a metal cover that not only exuded luxury but also featured an insulating system to maintain the bottle’s chill. Collaborating with Massimo Capanni, they developed a unique design with an unscrewable bottom and a protective cap to safeguard against falls. Thus, the K-OVER collection was born, merging timeless craftsmanship with modern ingenuity to create unparalleled works of art for the discerning connoisseur.

Marco Fedi

Master Chiseler

Marco Fedi was born in the artistic cradle of Florence in 1963. He pursued his passion for fine craftsmanship at the prestigious College of Art in Florence, excelling in his studies with a major focus on jewelry design.

After completing his education, Marco sought to immerse himself in the rich heritage of Florentine metalwork. He began his journey in a historic silverware workshop in the heart of Florence, a city renowned for its illustrious tradition in precious metal craftsmanship. Here, Marco mastered the ancient techniques of working with gold, silver, copper, brass, iron, and bronze, bringing his creative visions to life through the art of chiseling.

Driven by a desire for independence, Marco established his own “bottega,” which quickly became a revered establishment in Florence. His clients included corporate entities, antique dealers, public administrations, and the clergy, all seeking his unparalleled craftsmanship.

In 2020, Marco’s expertise was recognized internationally when he was invited to teach a master course in chiseling at the Escola Massana in Barcelona.

Among his notable masterpieces are:

  • The silver reliquary of Sant’Antonino in the Basilica of Santa Maria del Fiore (the Duomo) in Florence.
  • The commemorative medal for the 700th anniversary of the Basilica of Santa Maria del Fiore.
  • A special medal for the European Council held in Florence in 1996.
  • The base of the monstrance offered to Pope John Paul II.

When Andrea Pacini approached Marco to collaborate on the creation of K-OVER, Marco embraced the opportunity to blend his classical skills with modern design. He brought his passion for innovation to the forefront, designing many of K-OVER’s exquisite covers that serve not only as champagne bottle covers but also as luxurious, complementary accessories.

Since 2024, Marco has dedicated his exceptional talents exclusively to K-OVER, continually pushing the boundaries of high craftsmanship with a contemporary vision.

Giuliano Foglia

Master Silversmith

Born in Florence in 1947, Giuliano Foglia grew up in his family’s “Bottega” in the San Frediano area, a hub of Florentine craftsmanship. Following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, Giuliano began working in the 1960s, displaying remarkable skill in chiseling from a young age.

Giuliano’s passion for his craft led him to master ancient techniques, specializing in the traditional method known as “caccia in fuori,” where the volume of the chisel is shaped using specialized tools. Renowned for creating his own tools, he excelled in designing, overhanging, and engraving intricate details.

Throughout his distinguished career, Giuliano became famous for crafting large-scale objects such as candelabras, trays, and bowls, commissioned by both public offices and private clients to adorn villas and historic palaces. Stefano Vigni

Master Silversmith

Stefano Vigni began his career as an apprentice goldsmith at 14, perfecting his craft in Florence’s top workshops, including the renowned Foglia’s atelier. There, he mastered goldsmithing, chiseling, and sculpture, with his works featured in churches, cathedrals, the Vatican Museums, and Arab palaces.

Stefano’s prestigious creations include reproductions of the famous Fabergé Eggs, crafted with techniques passed down from generations of Fabergé craftsmen, working with precious metals and stones.

In Florence, Stefano founded “The Cesello,” an atelier he managed with his sons, Riccardo and Lorenzo. They recreated masterpieces for world-renowned museums like the Louvre, the Hermitage, and the Uffizi Gallery. Although the atelier has since closed, Stefano continues to work on special projects.

Eager for new challenges, Stefano joined K-OVER, creating a champagne bottle cover inspired by the Fabergé school. Starting with a single silver piece, he intricately chisels each detail. For the Sapphire K-OVER, he combines enamel with silver; for the Emerald and Ruby K-OVERs, he uses gold and precious stones.

Stefano’s K-OVER pieces are unique and celebrated in our Works of Art collection. He also created a special K-OVER to commemorate the birth of his grandson, Diego, ensuring a lasting legacy.

Stefano Vigni’s dedication to his craft and innovative approach continue to elevate the standards of excellence at K-OVER.
