Nurturing young creative talent
Federica Rovacchi wins the design contest with the project “Man’s Best Friend”
When tradition meets the creativity of the new generations, projects are born that can shape the future of craftsmanship. With this spirit, K-OVER, in collaboration with LAO – Le Arti Orafe Jewellery School, launched a contest dedicated to students, inviting them to reinterpret the theme “Man’s Best Friend” with originality and vision.
The initiative stems from K-OVER’s desire to promote Italian artistic craftsmanship, creating a dialogue with young designers and offering them the opportunity to bring fresh ideas to life through the art of bottle covers.
The theme and the winning interpretation
The chosen theme, “Man’s Best Friend,” inspired participants to reflect on the emotional and symbolic meaning often tied to this phrase—commonly associated with dogs—but reimagined by Federica Rovacchi with a different approach: her design features a delicate, refined pattern of cats, intertwining elegance, lightness, and a poetic touch.

An original interpretation that impressed the jury with its ability to renew a traditional concept in an unexpected way, transforming the theme into a visual story that is both personal and universal.
During the ceremony, Federica Rovacchi received official recognition for her project, along with a monetary prize offered by K-OVER. The images from the event capture a moment of great emotion: the winning sketch, the presentation of the cover, and the joy of the winner, surrounded by students, faculty, and K-OVER representatives.
A commitment to craftsmanship
The collaboration between K-OVER and LAO is more than just a contest: it is a concrete expression of the commitment to foster dialogue between tradition and innovation, between experience and fresh vision. A project that demonstrates how creativity, when paired with artisan mastery, can give life to unique works destined to endure over time.
