Nestled in the esteemed wine-producing region of Montalcino, Castello di Velona, or Velona’s Castle, boasts a rich history dating back to the 11th century. Rescued from ruins in 1997, it has since been transformed into the luxurious Castello di Velona Resort. Thanks to its privileged location, the castle not only produces its own exquisite wines but also serves as a haven for guests who travel to Italy to savor the finest vintages.
During a distinguished event in Firenze, K-OVER had the fortune of meeting the owner of Castello di Velona. He was thoroughly impressed with our craftsmanship in creating artful champagne and wine casings. With a gala dinner on the horizon, intended to unveil a new wine, the owner was in search of something truly exceptional to mark the occasion. It was only upon encountering K-OVER that his vision began to take shape.
The commission was a challenging yet invigorating project to intricately depict the estate’s coat of arms and an image of the castle itself, utilizing only aged, faded images and drawings from books as references. The techniques of embossing, chiselling, and engraving were employed to achieve a meticulously detailed and historically accurate representation. The final piece was nothing short of a masterpiece.
The collaboration between Castello di Velona and K-OVER blossomed into a wonderful partnership, admired by all who visit. Today, our K-OVER is prominently displayed at the resort’s concierge, where it is not merely observed but celebrated by guests as a testament to skilled artisanship sparked by a cherished connection. Inspired by this collaboration and the enchanting atmosphere of the castello, we chose this stunning location to film our video series, “K-Over Stories: A Gold Life by K-OVER,” further cementing our bond with this majestic setting.

K-OVERs are compatible with champagne bottles such as Moet & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, Louis Roederer Cristal, Pol Roger, Piper, Perrier Jouet, Taittinger, G. H Mumm, Ferrari, and Berlucchi.
All our champagne and wine covers are crafted from solid 999/°° silver, unlike the typical use of sterling silver in silverware. This unique choice is driven by three compelling reasons, we aim to provide our customers with a high-value and unique product. Pure silver’s resistance to oxidation makes it easier to clean and polish. Finally, the antibacterial properties of silver ensure it’s safe for use with food and beverages.
